Persepolis
Last week I read Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. It made me thankful for my own childhood, where the religious school leaders could only harrass you during school hours. ;)
It was helpful in understanding what it is like for a girl living in the middle east, and gave great background on the political happenings at the time.
I haven't been able to read Persepolis 2 yet, but when I do I'll add commentary.

I am currently reading another graphic novel about different people's experiences in Bosnia:
Safe Area Gorazde: The War in Eastern Bosnia 1992-1995
by Joe Sacco
